Eight-Week Class | Introduction to Leather Making


Beginners welcome! Learn foundational leather-working skills such using a swivel knife, using hammers and tools to strike, sculpt, and texture leather as well as basic staining, painting and antiquing techniques. You'll make bookmarks, coasters, and a geometric art valet tray.

• Instructor Michael Parham has created a custom tool package with our local leather shop, Traditions Leather Craft. They are a wonderful group of helpful folks and have provided a discount for our class.

Ask for Michael’s Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Class toolkit.
All the necessary tools and 1lb of scrap leather will be included. Total: $105.10 + Tax

Open Studio time is included with registration. Open Studio allows currently enrolled students to work on their projects in Oklahoma Contemporary’s studios outside of class meetings. Availability varies weekly, and times are posted outside each studio.
